Sanctuary Trust appoints a new Chairman

Jersey Competition and Regulatory Authority Chief Executive Tim Ringsdore has taken over as Chairman of the Sanctuary Trust, replacing Frank Walker who has held the post for the last 5 years.

Mr Ringsdore became a trustee in November 2021, and is currently helping to raise funds and awareness of the charity by sleeping outside a different parish hall on the last Friday of each month.

Mr Walker had been involved with the Trust for over 10 years and was quoted in the Jersey Evening Post last week describing Sanctuary Trust as ‘a critical charity in our community’, that he was humbled to have been able to support.

The Trust which was established in 2011 works across three sites and can accommodate a total of 30 mine. In addition, the charity runs an outreach service to continue to support former residents when they move into their own homes.

Mr Ringsdore paid tribute to his predecessor and is looking forward to continuing the good work of the Trust alongside General Manager Sarah Tumelty.
