Rent Control Tribunal to be re-appointed

The Minister for Housing and Communities, Deputy Russell Labey, is re-appointing Jersey’s Rent Control Tribunal, as announced in the Fair Rents Plan.

The Government of Jersey is advertising for volunteers to serve on the Tribunal, looking for Islanders who are experienced in housing-related matters and wanting to make an important contribution to their community.

The legislation under which the tribunal operates dates back to 1946 and no doubt one of the key objectives of the new tribunal members will be to consider how the law can be updated to meet the needs of people in Jersey today.
